LAHORE: The Punjab home department on Wednesday transferred and posted some 201 officials in its attached departments – prisons, civil defence and parole & probation.

The officials transferred and posted include seven superintendents/ deputy superintendents jails, 14 assistant sub-jail, 23 head warders and 157 warders.

The home department has also resolved an issue of warders’ duties in two shifts – four hours each with a break of four hours. Now, the warders will be able to do their duties for eight hours straight.
