Woman, her three children among five killed on road

SUKKUR: A woman and her three children were among five passengers killed while 10 others passengers were inju­red in a head-on collision between a passenger couch and mini truck on Kandhkot Road along the Grid Station in Thull taluka of Jacobabad district on Saturday morning.

The dead were identified as Atlaas Bibi Pathan and her children — Hafizullah, Jameelan and Khadeja Panthan — residents of Pishin, and the fifth passenger as Dil Murad Jaffri.

The names of the injured could not be ascertained immediately.

According to reports reaching, when the Rahimyarkhan-bound passenger couch coming from Quetta reached the Grid Station, it collided with the truck coming in the opposite direction.

Locals rushed to the accident scene and retrieved the bodies and wounded passengers from the two vehicles.

They said that the bodies and injured had be to transported on tri-wheelers (loader rickshaws) and private conveyances to hospital.

The bodies were handed over to the heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities.

Sources said the relatives of three children and their mother forgave the owners of the passenger coach and mini truck.

Suicide

A 25-year-old youth died by suicide owing to the alleged domestic matters in the village of Sharbat Brohi within the jurisdiction of Miranpur police station in Garhi Khero taluka, Jacobabad district.

According to detail, Babal, son of Allah Rakhiyo Jamali, shot himself dead with a TT pistol.

The bereaved family said they took the injured youth to hospital where doctors pronounced him as dead on arrival.

The body was handed over to the heirs after completion of medico-legal formalities.

Man killed

An autorickshaw driver was killed when a tractor collided with his vehicle near Mangriyo patrol pump within the limits of the Abad police station in Jacobabad.
