Two held in Faisalabad for blackmailing minor girl

TOBA TEK SINGH: Faisalabad’s Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) cybercrime team raided D-Type Colony on Samundri Road on Saturday and arrested two persons for blackmailing a minor girl by sending her explicit photos.

Suspects allegedly harassed the girl and took compromising photos, threatening to share them with her parents via WhatsApp.

The FIA team seized two mobile phones from the suspects and registered a case under section 22 of the PECA 2016 and section 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code.

Also, the FIA’s Composite Circle team arrested eight people involved in a foreign currency smuggling ring.

Those arrested included Tariq Majeed, Abdul Ahad, Muzammal Bashir, Ali Raza, Shahbaz Asghar, Bilal Shafiq, Muhammad Abdullah and Muhammad Ahmad.

The FIA recovered foreign currencies, including dollars, euros, pounds and UAE dirhams. Raids are ongoing to capture additional suspects, and records of the smuggled currency have been secured.

SEALED: Faisalabad Assistant Commissioner Attiqullah sealed a wedding hall in the Tariq Abad area on Saturday.

A press release stated that the hall’s owner had been using state land without permission or a license to host events.

ARRESTED: Police arrested two suspects for allegedly gang-raping a seven-year-old boy in Madina Town.

According to the police report, the suspects lured the boy to a house where they gang-raped him.

The child was taken to DHQ Hospital for a medical examination.

HONOUR KILLING: A young girl was reportedly shot dead by her brother in an alleged honour killing in Chak 67-JB, Faisalabad, on Saturday.

Sub-Inspector Akhtar Ali of Thikriwala police filed an FIR stating that Ali Shoaib shot his 17-year-old sister, Asma Bibi.

Police arrested the suspect, with the case registered under sections 302 and 311 of the PPC.
