Nadra to provide necessary services to facilitate BISP beneficiaries

ISLAMABAD: National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra) on Tuesday said it would provide all necessary services to Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) to facilitate the poor beneficiaries in getting their stipends easily.

BISP Chairperson Senator Rubina Khalid met Nadra Chairman Lt Gen Mohammad Munir Afsar to discuss the importance of issuing Form B to BISP’s women beneficiaries and requested enhanced access to other essential Nadra-related services for them.

In response, the Nadra chairman assured the BISP head of full support in providing these essential services to deserving women beneficiaries.

Senator Rubina Khalid also informed the Nadra chairman about the study tour of a high-level delegation from West African countries, visiting BISP from November 11 to 14.

The BISP chief also met SZABIST-ZABTech Executive Director Waheeda Mahesar. The meeting centered on exploring collaboration opportunities between BISP and ZABTech to provide vocational training aligned with local market demand for deserving women in Sindh and Balochistan.

During the meeting, Senator Rubina Khalid highlighted that Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto once emphasised the value of hard work and the collective role of both men and women in advancing society.

She reiterated BISP’s commitment to work with ZABTech on skill training initiatives, mentioning that such efforts would benefit from partnerships with other public and private training institutions as well as support from international donors.

Senator Khalid particularly emphasised the demand for healthcare and nursing sectors internationally, underlining the importance of providing quality-certified training in these fields.

Both parties expressed a shared intent to formalise their partnership by signing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for vocational training initiatives and setting a future roadmap.

Earlier, ZABTech provided the chairperson with a detailed briefing on the range of training courses offered by the institution.
