Balochistan girl qualifies for Copernicus event
QUETTA: Arpanga Baryal, a grade-V student from Quetta, has qualified for the prestigious Copernicus Olympiad to be held in Houston from Jan 5 to 10, 2025.
Having won a bronze medal in the first round, the 12-year-old will represent Balochistan among participants from over 50 countries in the final round.
While in US, Baryal will visit the Houston Museum of Natural Science and Nasa’s Johnson Space Center, enhancing her experience beyond the academic competition.
Known for its blend of academic rigour, cultural exploration and diplomatic engagement, the Copernicus Olympiad provides a transformative experience.
The achievement of Baryal, a student of Learning House School System, brings pride to her region and highlights the potential of young talent from Balochistan on the world stage.
