KARACHI: Great enthusiasm prevailed in the City yesterday [Nov 18] as large crowds wended their way to various mosques for special prayers to observe Kashmir Day after Juma prayers in response to call made by the Ad Hoc Committee of the Karachi City Muslim League. The mosques were filled to capacity. All over the city, congregations resolved not to shirk the highest sacrifices for Kashmir and reiterated their determination to liberate the entire state from the yoke of the Dogra rule. They also prayed for the souls of all those who have laid down their lives in the name of freedom and liberty.
“Kashmir is geographically an integral part of Pakistan and we the Muslims of Pakistan will sacrifice everything and will not rest till Kashmir is linked with Pakistan,” said a resolution passed at the Memon Mosque.
“If Security Council refrains to comply with its August 13 … resolution to hold a free plebiscite in Kashmir, Muslims will be forced to adopt direct means to liberate Jammu and Kashmir from the Dogras and the rule of foreigners, reads a resolution passed at various public meetings and Friday gatherings in the mosques in Lahore.
