Militant gets 31-year jail
SAHIWAL: Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge Ziaullah sentenced Usama Farooq, member of a banned outfit, to 31 years of rigorous imprisonment for terrorism-related activities.
Farooq was arrested during a sting operation by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) on Jan 15 in Ideal City Colony. The CTD recovered detonators, explosive material, wires, batteries, and other devices from his possession. Farooq was charged under Sections 4 and 5 of the Explosives Act and Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act.
