Phool Nagar and Mustafabad Lalyani police of Kasur arrested 10 activists each from their respective jurisdictions and presented them before the court to obtain their physical remand.
The investigating officers told the court that the suspects were found attacking police personnel with sticks. They said the custody of the suspects was required to recover these sticks.
ATC-I Judge Manzer Ali Gill allowed the physical remand of the suspects till Dec 2.
The suspects include Waqas Talib, Azam Nawaz, Iqbal Yousaf, Usman Akbar, Fayaz Shaukat, Nadeem Arif, Muhammad Hanif, Habib Shahbaz, and Abid Imran.
BAIL: An anti-terrorism court on Tuesday extended pre-arrest bail of National Assembly Opposition Leader Omar Ayub in multiple cases of May 9 riots, including an attack on the Jinnah House.
ATC-I Judge Manzer Ali Gill heard the bail petitions of Mr Ayub.
However, the opposition leader did not appear before the court for attendance.
His lawyer submitted a written request for one-day exemption from personal appearance, saying Mr Ayub could not make it to Lahore due to road blockades.
The judge allowed the request and extended the bail till Dec 7.
Other cases against Mr Ayub are attack on Askari Tower and Shadman police station.
The judge also extended the pre-arrest bail of Azam Khan Swati and Nadeem Abbas Bara, who also sought exemption from personal appearance.
