LOWER DIR: A senior gynaecologist successfully removed a 20kg abdominal tumour from a woman’s body at a private hospital here the other day.

The hospital’s administrator, Kantar Ali Shah, told reporters that the 28-year-old woman from Bajaur district was brought to the hospital in critical condition, and was treated by senior gynaecologist Dr Musarrat Shaukat.

The administrator said the woman underwent the operation using the Sehat Insaf Card, and a 20kg tumour was successfully removed from her abdomen damaging her uterus.
