Christian Pulisic docuseries gets trailer
Christian Pulisic, US soccer star and AC Milan forward, will be the focus of a new docuseries on Paramount+. The first episode premieres December 9, with additional episodes following in January.
The series covers Pulisic’s journey from his early days in Hershey, PA, to his rise in European football, including his preparations for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Featuring interviews with soccer legends and Pulisic’s family, the docuseries offers an inside look at his career and global stardom.
Star Wars, Skeleton Crew to premiere early
Disney+ released the first two episodes of Star Wars: Skeleton Crew on December 2. Subsequent episodes of the eight-episode series will appear each Tuesdays for the remainder of the season.
The series, set in the New Republic era, stars Jude Law as Jod Na Nawood, an intergalactic rogue leading a group of children back to their home planet.
The kids, “make a mysterious discovery on their seemingly safe home planet, then get lost in a strange and dangerous galaxy,” according to the series’ synopsis.
Created by Jon Watts and Christopher Ford, Skeleton Crew joins other Star Wars series like The Mandalorian and Ahsoka on Disney+.
Queen Latifah to host the 47th Kennedy Centre Honours
Queen Latifah is set to host the 47th Kennedy Centre Honours on December 22. The actress and singer was among the 2023 honourees. She is well-known for her roles in Chicago, Bringing Down the House, etc. She also executive produces and stars in The Equalizer.
She has previously been recognised with a National Medal of the Arts and a Hollywood Walk of Fame star. Her awards include a Grammy, Emmy and Golden Globe.
“The Kennedy Centre Honours recognises and celebrates individuals whose unique contributions have shaped the way we see ourselves, each other and our world,” a press release states. “Recipients have each had an impact on the rich tapestry of American life and culture through the performing arts.”
