Two private hospitals’ dialysis units sealed
BAHAWALPUR: Health commission raiding teams sealed dialysis units of two private hospitals in Multan on Tuesday.
After the Nishtar Hospital’s incident, the health commission has launched inspection of public and private hospitals’ dialysis units.
The commission officials said these hospitals were found violating the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the dialysis units as the Hepatitis B, C and HIV/AIDS tests of the patients were must before their dialysis.
ARRESTED: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) claims to have arrested seven people on charges of inflammatory posts on social media.
According to sources, the arrested youths, whose names were not disclosed, were taken into custody from Trust Colony, Bahawalpur, Hansra Basti and other areas of the city. It is learnt that two of them were rounded up from a restaurant by an FIA team.
All the arrested people were shifted to Multan FIA office for further interrogation.
Meanwhile, the FIA claimed on Tuesday to have arrested a blacklisted passenger identified as Muzaffar Khan at Multan airport. He had come from Sharja by a PIA flight. The FIA officials said the passenger was wanted by FIA Islamabad.
ACCIDENT: A woman, Khurshid Bibi, was killed when a speeding car hit a motorcycle-rickshaw on new court road in Hasilpur on Tuesday.
Police have registered a case against the absconding car driver and shifted the body to the THQ Hospital.
Meanwhile, a woman was killed in firing allegedly by two motorcyclists in Chenab Town near Adda Bund Bosan in the limits of Alappa police station.
She was identified as Allah Wasayi and was going to purchase vegetables when the bikers shot her dead.
