Advice: Our beloved earth

The Earth was never like this; it has changed drastically over time. It was once beautiful and thriving. There were lush trees, a wide variety of beautiful flowers and vibrant plants with rich greenery everywhere. The water in rivers and seas was pure, unpolluted and teeming with fish. The air was clean and free from impurities.

Now, our planet is facing a climate crisis. We no longer have clean air to breathe, pure water to drink and our gardens are no longer as green as they once were. Air pollution caused by industrial emissions, automobile exhaust and other contaminants has severely affected the environment. Breathing this polluted air has led to a rise in lung diseases and other health issues.

Impure industrial waste is often dumped into rivers, endangering animals and marine life. Deforestation is carried out on a large scale to meet demands for furniture and other, often unnecessary, human needs. As the world’s population continues to grow, natural resources are depleting at an alarming rate.

Deforestation contributes significantly to global warming. The burning of fossil fuels, the widespread use of vehicles, and the emission of chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) from refrigerators increase the concentration of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere. This, in turn, leads to a rise in the Earth’s average temperature, further exacerbating the effects of climate change which further results in floods, droughts and raised sea levels.

In order to save mother Earth, we must all play an individual role to protect and preserve our natural resources. Let’s plant more trees, instead of using individual vehicles we should opt for public transport. Let’s stop using non-renewable synthetic resources such as plastic bags. Let’s pledge to make our beloved Earth a better place to live and to breathe. Let’s make a collective effort to make it greener and more clean.

I believe if we work with unity we can make this world a better place to live for us and for our future generations.
