Youth burnt alive as fire erupts in paint shop
GUJRAT: An 18-year-old youth was burnt alive after a fire erupted in a paint shop due to short circuiting in a building located along GT road Sara-i-Alamgir town of Gujrat on Sunday.
Rescue 1122 firefighters reached the shop after a alert was issued and it took at least an hour to extinguish the fire as fire engines from Gujrat also reached there to assist the firefighters.
The eyewitness told the rescue officials about the presence of a man inside the shop upon which the firefighters tried to enter the shop from backside after making a hole but they could not enter there.
However, when the fire was extinguished the search for the man who had been struck inside, was launched after completion of cooling process. The rescue team later found the body of youth who was burnt to death after being trapped in the shop.
The deceased youth was identified as Talha Irshad of Aurangabad locality of Sarai-i-Alamgir city.
The body was shifted to Tehsil Headquarter hospital by the rescue officials.
