HYDERABAD: Allotment of state land at cheaper rate cancelled
HYDERABAD, May 20: The district government has cancelled all allotments, conversions and exchanges of land done at lower than market rates.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, EDO (revenue) Sattar Jatoo said that the decision was taken under the Sindh Government Land (Cancellation of Allotments, Conversions and Exchanges) Ordinance-III of 2001.
He said that all allotments, conversions and exchange of government lands granted for residential, commercial and industrial purposes at rates lower than market value and in violation of law and ban with effect from January 1, 1985 including subsequent transactions stood cancelled under section three of the ordinance.
He said that the government lands granted in belt areas and government plots occupied by people on the basis of ownership certificates issued by Mukhtiarkars and by defunct municipal and town committees and entered in the record including their subsequent transactions and exchanges were also cancelled.
Mr Jatoo advised all allottees, subsequent purchasers of government lands and plots and occupants of government lands and plots on the basis of ownership certificates issued by Mukhtiarkiars and town officers and municipal officers to apply for grant of such land and plot afresh.
He said that the cases might be regularized on payment of differential amount to the government as per existing government policy.
ROADS: District Nazim Kan-war Naveed Jamil on Saturday performed the opening ceremony of Husri-Bagh Wah road.
The road is being constructed at a cost of Rs11.5 million.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that the road would not only provide travelling facilities to people of Husri but it would also give them easy access to vegetable market.
He said that all schools of the area would be upgraded and school buildings would be repaired and renovated and furniture would be made available.
He said that no student in future would sit on the ground.
He said that it was his commitment that people of the rural taluka would be provided all those facilities which were available to urban talukas.
Kanwar Naveed performed the opening ceremony of Husri-Bahawal Zaunr road which was being constructed at a cost of Rs10 million.
He vowed to carry out development works in four talukas of the district without any discrimination.
He said that areas which had been neglected in the past would be given preference. He said the district government would install street lights in Husri.
Husri UC nazim Abdullah Shoro, naib nazim Hashim Panhwar, Tandojam UC nazim Khan Mohammad Talpur, Tando Haider UC nazim Mian Abdullah, Tando Qaisar UC nazim Iqbal Panhwar, EDO (works and services) Abdul Rahim Ghouri and a large number of people were present on the occasion.
