Shabby water pipelines in Kasur

KASUR, June 4: More than 100 gastroenteritis patients were admitted to various government and private health facilities on Sunday. Meanwhile, tehsil nazim Agha Naveed Hashim told journalists and office-bearers of various trade and welfare organisations at a meeting that the PCSIR reports had confirmed that water from major sources was free from contamination and the actual fault laid with the water-supply pipes in some parts of the city.

He said an emergency action plan had been chalked out to remove the defective pipelines laid down three decades ago. — Correspondent
