NAWABSHAH: JSQM demands jobs for youths

NAWABSHAH, June 19: Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz chairman Basheer Qureshi has called upon the government to provide jobs to Sindhi youth. He was speaking to party workers at a programme organised here on Sunday night.

He said that Gen Musharraf was talking about building five dams on the Indus river but he did not know that his decision would put country’s solidarity at stake.

He said that the establishment was trying to scare nationalists by arresting workers and the murder of Hakeem Katiar was also a conspiracy.

He said that Sindhis were being made homeless and their villages were being bulldozed and feudal lords were destroying nation by organising jirgas.

He said that Sindhis had to scarify for getting independence.

FOUR WOMEN HELD: Police put four women under arrest on Sunday for allegedly attempting to kidnap a child from his home in Daur.

Reports said that the four women identified as Nazeeran, Bano, Maryam and Abida entered the house of a taxi driver, Khan Mohammad Brohi, and tried to take away his son Salman, who was alone in the house at that time.

When the women were fleeing with the child another son of Khan Mohammad saw them and raised alarm on which the neighbours rushed for help. They caught the women and handed them over to police.
