HYDERABAD: Police officials summoned in Hudood case
HYDERABAD, July 1: The Hyderabad circuit bench of the Sindh High Court on Saturday issued notices to the DPO and SP (investigation) of the Nawabshah district, TPO Daur, SHO and in-charge investigation wing of the Daur police station to appear in the court on July 17 in a Hudood case.
The court also issued notice to the additional advocate general, Sindh.
Petitioner Rukhsana Parveen filed the application through Ayaz Latif Palejo advocate.
She said that her father and other relatives wanted her to marry a heroin addict as they were greedy people.
She said that she had refused to marry and on her refusal she was subjected to torture and confined in the house.
She said that she left the house of her own will and married Saeed Ahmed, son of Sadullah Jamali, on March 22, in Naseerabad district of Balochistan.
She said that she had not been abducted by anyone.
She said that allegations against her and her man should be treated as fabricated and baseless.
She said that after some time she came to know that her father had lodged a case under the Zina Hudood Ordinance at the Daur police on March 24.
She said that it was stated in the FIR that she was 16-year-old and was already married to Sher Khan.
The FIR said that she was kidnapped on March 22, by Saeed Ahmed, Noor Nabi, Ghulam Nabi, Tufail and Ayaz, all Jamali by caste. She said that five innocent people, who are brothers of her husband, had been nominated by her father only to pressurise them.
She denied that she had ever been married to anyone and said that after coming to know about her fake marriage she immediately filed a suit for cancellation of forged nikahnama before the civil judge and family judge-III in Quetta on April 16.
She said that notice was served on Sher Khan who sent his written statement before the court which was taken on record.
After perusal of documents including Sher Khan’s statement, the court had cancelled nikahnama considering it as bogus and directed Sher Khan not to pose himself as her husband in future, she said.
