NAWABSHAH: Two killed, 40 injured in accident

NAWABSHAH, July 10: A truck driver and a minor girl were killed and 40 others were injured in a road accident on the National Highway near Sakrand early on Monday morning.

Reports reaching here said that a passenger coach going to Karachi from Peshawar had collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction.

Driver Bashir Dahri and five-year-old Sana, d/o Akram Khan were killed on the spot.

The injured were identified as Qiyas Gul, Hamidullah, Mumtaz Gul, Naeem, Jan Feroze, w/o Mohammad Khan, Lakhmir Dahri, Shaman Khan, Perveen, w/o Yousuf Mohammad, Munawwar Khan, Gul Adnan, Amna, Junaid, Abbas Bibi, Aijaz Ahmed, Zahid, Salahuddin, Mehboob, Ubaidullah, Shiraz, Naveed and Ms Zaitoon. Names of 19 dead could not be ascertained.

They were shifted to Sakrand and Nawabshah hospitals.
