HYDERABAD: Rs5m dues; Wasa warns of stopping water supply

HYDERABAD, July 19: The Water and Sanitation Agency warned on Wednesday to disconnect water supply to residents of plazas which had Rs5 million outstanding against them and send their cases to recovery magistrate for the defaulters’ arrest if they failed to clear their dues.

A spokesman for Wasa said in a statement that final notices had already been sent to Sehar Plaza, Mughal Plaza, Sakina Centre, Mohammadi Plaza, Razzaq Centre, Tayyab Centre, Moti Mehal Plaza, Issu Plaza, Moin Plaza, Rabia Square and Al-Waheed Plaza.

He said that the agency had warned the plazas time and again but to no avail.

ILLEGAL BOOKING: The Building Control Department, Hyderabad Development Authority (HAD) notified on Wednesday that booking of shops and flats by Irshadia Centre on plot No.500, Block-C unit No.8, Latifabad was being carried out without approval from the competent authority.

It warned the people to inspect the approved building plan of not only Irshadia Centre but any project before booking any property.

The department made it clear that it would not be responsible for any illegal transaction and booking.

DATE EXTENDED: The Land Management Department, HDA, on Wednesday announced that it had extended the date for the payment of Kohisar Extension Housing Scheme to July 31 after repeated requests by allottees.

The department advised the allottees to deposit their arrears at Allied Bank Limited Unit No.7, Latifabad branch by July 31, failing which their allotments would be cancelled without any prior notice.
