World Junior Team Squash: Pakistan reach quarter-finals
KARACHI, July 25: Title holders Pakistan advanced to the quarter-finals of the World Junior Team squash championship by defeating arch-rivals India at Palmerston North, New Zealand on Tuesday.
It was their fourth successive triumph in the competition.
According to details available here, Pakistan crushed India 3-0 to book their place in the Wednesday's quarter-finals.
However, the Indians remain in contention for a quarter-final berth by snatching 2-1 victory over South Africa in another pool ‘B’ battle.
Top seed Egypt, also moved into the quarter-finals after trouncing Netherlands 3-0 in their pool ‘A’ match.
Whilst, Hong Kong beat Finland 3-0 and Netherlands 2-1 to make it to the last-eight stage.
Japan, Ireland, South Africa, England, Germany, Malaysia and Australia were the other teams who also won their matches on the third day of the competition.
