DADU: Flood water inundates large area

DADU, Aug 12: Hundreds of acres of land were inundated by flood water in the kutcha area of Dadu and Jamshoro districts on Saturday. Residents of the area have started shifting to safe places along with their cattle.

The assistant engineer of the Dadu-Moro bridge, Mr Habib Chandio, said that ‘high flood’ would pass under the bridge after three days.

He said that there was no threat to the bridge as spurs constructed upstream of the bridge would diminish the water pressure.

On Saturday, the level of the Manchhar lake was recorded at 110.85-RL (reduced level).

The water flow in Nai Gaaj was three feet.
