HYDERABAD: School given back to Diocese of Hyderabad

HYDERABAD, Sept 1: The Diocese of Hyderabad has taken back the possession of St. Saviour’s High School and College, Sukkur, after the High Court ruled that the Diocese of Hyderabad (COP) is the rightful owner of the school.

Three years ago the school had been occupied by force.

A statement issued by Rt. Rev. Rafiq Masih, the Bishop of Hyderabad (COP) here on Friday, said that the standard of education had declined during the last three years as good teachers had left the school in disgust.

He said that now that this prestigious institution is back in the possession of its rightful owners, the Diocese is determined to restore it to its former high standard in the service of the whole community.

The school and college, he said, will be properly managed and parents can have confidence that their children studying at the school will receive good education.

Additional staff is being recruited and improvement introduced with immediate effect.
