DADU: Acute water shortage in Johi minors

DADU, Sept 4: On the call of the Johi taluka PPP, a large number of growers and party activists took out a rally in Johi on Monday to protest against an acute shortage of water in Chinjani, Lakha, Noonari and Chhinni waterways originating from the Johi branch.

The leaders alleged that irrigation officials were selling water to influential landlords at the head of the Dadu Canal hence tail-end growers were not getting water.

They appealed to the provincial irrigation minister, Nadir Akmal Leghari, to direct irrigation officials to provide tail-end growers water of their share.

FOUR INJURED: Four persons Ali Hassan, Rahib Ali, Passand Khan and Mehboob Ali were injured due to a matrimonial dispute in the Jaro Khan village in the jurisdiction of the Amri police station on Monday. The injured were taken to the LUMHS, Jamshoro.
