THATTA: Protest against Bugti’s killing

THATTA, Sept 4: Hundreds of People’s Party activists affiliated with a dissident group in the party took out a procession here on Monday in protest against what they termed assassination of veteran Baloch nationalist leader Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti and registration of fake cases against PPP chairperson Benazir Bhutto.

Led by former MPA Ghulam Qadir Palijo, PPP Bachayo (save PPP) action committee chairman Abdul Khaliq Soomro, former district PPP president Abdul Sattar Lohar, Abdul Wahid Parhiar and Iqbal Shah, protesters were raising slogans against the government.

Majority of the activist had arrived in motorcade from far flung coastal areas and raising slogans for the return of party chairperson, Benazir Bhutto to Pakistan, withdrawal of cases against her and brutal murder of Nawab Akbar Bugti.
