KHAIRPUR: Protest against crime increase

KHAIRPUR, Sept 25: The Sindhi Adabi Sangat held a meeting on Monday in Kotdiji to protest against the worsening law and order in the taluka. Joint-Secretary Mushtaq Phul presided over the meeting.

Office-bearers of the Sindh Graduate Association and workers and office-bearers of more than 10 social and political parties attended the meeting.

The meeting expressed concern over rise in incidents of kidnapping, robbery in homes and on the road in the taluka and condemned the kidnapping of SGA leader Wazir Phul’s close relative, Mohib Ali Bozdar and his steward Juman Bhatti.

The meeting decided to stage a rally on Wednesday in Kumb to protest against the law and order situation.

ROBBERY: Eight armed men intercepted passenger buses and trucks on National Highway near village Pipri on Sunday night and robbed the passengers of cash, gold ornaments and valuable belongings.
