HYDERABAD: Allegations denied
HYDERABAD, Oct 15: The owner of Sohail No.1 air-conditioned coaches, Mullah Mohammad Rafique, on Sunday denied allegations levelled against him by Aurangzeb Khan, acting provincial president of the Awami National Party at a press conference on Oct 12.
Mr Rafique admitted that he had given a cheque for Rs500,000 bounced, but he said, he paid the amount in cash to Mr Aurangzeb and took the cheque back.
He said that he owned 30 air conditioned coaches, which he had purchased through bank loans.
Mr Rafique at first denied that Jamshoro DPO Pir Fareed Jan Sarhandi held any stake in his business but afterwards said in answer to a direct question that the DPO had just 25 per cent share in the income from Qasim Chowk bus stop and Shopping Centre.
