MARDAN: Threat of no-trust move against nazim

MARDAN, Oct 29: Members of the Lekpanri union council have alleged that the nazim and naib nazim of the union council were ignoring their proposals for development projects in the area.

They said the nazim and naib nazim were not giving funds for their proposed works.

In a statement issued here on Saturday, the union council members said that if the trend continued, they would move a no-confidence motion against the nazim and naib nazim.

In a statement issued here, Sahibzada, Azizur Rehman, Lalsharaf, Murad Ali and female councillors Mrs Majid and Mrs Gul Nawab criticised Nazim Jehanzeb and Naib Nazim Noorzada.

They said that in nine months, the nazim and his deputy did not bother to consult the council while taking decisions and distributing funds.

The councillors alleged that both had misappropriated Baitul Mal funds, saying that they distributed food items among their relatives and undeserving people.
