HYDERABAD: PPP leader demands suspension of SHO
HYDERABAD, Oct 30: Pakistan People’s Party leader Syed Zafar Ali Shah demanded on Monday that the SHO of Chhachhar police station be suspended and police register an FIR against people who had attacked him and his brothers.
Speaking at a news conference at the local press club, Mr Shah who owns land in Sann in Dadu, accused the SHO of favouring people who had attacked them. Instead of registering an FIR against the attackers, the SHO implicated them in a false case, he said.
He said that Shahid Ali and Javed Ali pelted their car with stones when he and his brothers Zahir Ali Shah and Jehangir Ali Shah were on their way to the civil court in Sehwan on October 27. When they stopped the car to see who were the stone-throwers, the two attacked them and left them severely injured.
They went to the nearest Chhachhar police station to file an FIR against the attackers but instead SHO Sadiq Solangi filed an FIR against him and his brother Jehangir Ali Shah and put them behind bars.—Bureau
