HYDERABAD: Haemorrhagic fever hits Hyderabad
HYDERABAD, Nov 5: Four people have tested positive to haemorrhagic fever, two at a private hospital and two at the civil hospital, while reports of seven more suspected dengue patients are still being awaited.
Dr Saleem Memon, focal person of civil hospital, confirmed that Aroosa, 15, of Gulshan-i-Hali, and Umaid Ali, 28, had tested positive for the haemorrhagic fever.
The hospital was still awaiting test reports of seven other suspected patients of dengue fever, he said, adding that the hospital had in all nine patients in its isolation ward.
Dr Saulat Jafri said that Abdul Rasheed, 60, a resident of Sarfaraz Colony and Shakeel Beg, 26, a resident of Noorani Basti, who were under treatment at the hospital had tested positive for the haemorrhagic fever while Faisal, a dengue patient, had been discharged after getting rid of the deadly disease.
