HYDERABAD: MQM team meets Pakhtoons

HYDERABAD, Dec 21: Muttahida Qaumi Movement zonal in-charge, Siraj Rajput, Latifabad Taluka Nazim Sabir Ahmed Kaimkhani and others on Thursday held a meeting with Pakhtoon Jirga and Awami National Party leader Haji Sher Zaman and members of the local Pakhtoon community.

They discussed ways to strengthen unity between Urdu-speaking and Pakhtoon residents of the city.

Speaking on the occasion, the MQM leaders said that some ‘agents’ were again trying to create Mohajir-Pakhtoon riots. They said that the disturbances were created in Karachi by the elements but the conscientious people had foiled the conspiracy. They stressed the need for unity between the Urdu speaking and Pakhtoon people of Hyderabad.

The two sides called on their followers and members of their communities to maintain unity and foil the conspiracies of the enemies of peace aimed at recreating a gulf between the two committees.
