HYDERABAD: Clarification

HYDERABAD, Jan 14: Yawar Kazmi, son of renowned artist and sculptor Zafar Kazmi who died two days ago, has clarified that he has been buried on the Sindh Museum premises on a permanent basis and not as "Amanat."

In a statement issued here on Sunday, Mr Yawar said that at the insistence of intellectuals, writers and artists of Sindh, Mr Kazmi’s family members agreed to bury him on the premises of the museum, which was his legacy, with the approval of the Sindh culture department

Meanwhile, a group of intellectuals and writers lighted 1,000 earthen lamps on the grave of the artist on Sunday evening.
