197 flights cancelled on Chitral route

CHITRAL, Jan 16: A large number of PIA flights between Peshawar and Chitral were cancelled due to bad weather or technical reasons during 2006. According to the data collected from the office of the district sales manager of PIA, 322 scheduled flights were operated and 197 cancelled last year. The frequency of flight cancellation increases with the advent of winter. In December last, 18 of 31 flights were cancelled. The PIA had started its Chitral service in 1962. —Correspondent
