Multan denied victory

LAHORE, Jan 21: A defiant 76 by opener Aqeel Anjum helped Hyderabad draw their Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Silver League tie against Multan at Multan Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Set 351 to win, Hyderabad reached 197 for seven when the match was called off. Medium-pacer Mohammad Irshad finished with four for 60.

Earlier, Multan, who earned 83-run lead on the first innings, scored 267 in the second innings after resuming at 140-5.
