Pindi pacers rout Faisalabad
LAHORE, Jan 27: A three-prong pace attack of Sohail Tanvir, Yasir Arafat and Najaf Shah helped Rawalpindi to gain full points as they beat Faisalabad by 232 runs in the Quaid-i-Azam Trophy Gold League fixture at Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad on Friday.
Set 337 to win, Sohail (4-24), Yasir (3-35) and Najaf (3-41) bundled out Faisalabad for
104 in 32.5 in second innings as Rawalpindi obtained nine points to gather aggregate of 21 points from four matches.
Earlier, Rawalpindi, who had gained 51 lead on first innings, were all out in second innings at 285 after resuming at 277-8 as Asad Ali finished with four wickets for 67. Ahmed Hayat and Ijaz Ahmed Junior claimed three each.
