HYDERABAD: PONM meeting in Wadh on 15th
HYDERABAD, March 3: A delegation of Pakhtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party leaders, led by its general secretary Akbar Shah, met with Sindh Taraqi-asand Party chief Dr Qadir Magsi at Taraqi Passand House on Saturday. They discussed political situation in the country, matters concerning the Pakistan Oppressed Nations’ Movement and the multi-party conference scheduled to be held in London.
It was decided in the meeting to hold a session of the central council of the PONM at the residence of Baloch nationalist leader Sardar Attaullah Mengal in Wadh (Balochistan) on March 15 and 16.
The leaders of the STP and the PMAP condemned military operation in Balochistan and Waziristan and said that the rulers had ‘mortgaged the country with foreign masters. They held the government responsible for incidents of terrorism in the country and said that bomb blasts in different cities had exposed inefficiency of the government.
They said that army operation in Waziristan and Balochistan and arrest and ‘disappearance’ of political workers had created a 1971-like situation.
They stressed the need for restoration of real democracy in the country and urged the democratic and nationalist forces to attend the MPC in London.
