Brothers kill sister over ‘honour’

SHEIKHUPURA, March 7: A mother of seven children was gunned down by her brothers over suspicion of illicit relation in Rasoolpura on Wednesday.

Nasim started living with her brothers Arshad and Mumtaz without the consent of her in-laws. In the meanwhile, she developed affair with a youth of the locality. The accused asked her to mend her ways but all in vain.

They had an exchange of hot words on the issue and the brothers shot her dead.

City B-division police are investigating.

ROBBED: An ex MPA and his son were deprived of cash and cell phones by three highwaymen near their house.

Saddar police said former MPA Rustam C Qaisar and his son were going to a doctor by their car. The robbers intercepted them on the Canal Road and snatched their wallets and two cell phones at gunpoint.

In the meantime, the owner of a house saw the situation from the roof of his house and fired shots in the air. The bandits responded and the man escaped narrowly.

The incident created panic in the locality.
