KOHAT: Firing at jirga leaves three dead

KOHAT, March 10: Three people were killed and two others were injured during an exchange of fire at a jirga by rival groups in Tora Wari area of Doaba on Saturday. The jirga was convened to settle a marriage dispute, but during the proceedings the participants exchanged hot words and started firing at each other. The deceased were identified as Aziz ur Rehman, a resident of Garhi area of Kohat, Raheem and Yaqoob. The injured — Masood and Mustafa — were admitted to a hospital.
