HYDERABAD: SUP vows to protect Sindh’s resources

HYDERABAD, March 27: Excesses against the people by the provincial government will not be tolerated as Sindhis have exclusive right over their resources, warned the chief of Sindh United Party Syed Jalal Shah.

He said this during a news conference at Tando Muhammad Khan on Tuesday. He said that the basic objective of his party was to protect the resources and people of this province from exploitation and which he assured would be taken care of.

“Our party stands for provincial autonomy which I believe will be resolved on the floor of the assemblies,” he said and sought the support of people in furthering these objectives. Those present were Dr Pir Khalil Jan Sarhandi, Gulshan Leghari, Syed Mahar Hussain Shah, Syed Bashir Shah and others. Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah also addressed corner meetings in different villages.

DEMO: Various organisations of teachers protested outside the district council hall, Tando Muhammad Khan against the National Bank which had refused to pay advance salaries to government employees.

They said that it was illegal and demanded removal of the bank manager.
