Qaim accused of damaging Thatta PPP

THATTA, April 14: Dozens of PPP activists affiliated with the pressure group took out a procession in Sujawal on Saturday. They procession was a part of their campaign to dislodge party's district president and secretary.

Carrying banners, placards, black flags and party flags and chanting slogans “Arbab Hatayo, party Bachayo” (remove Arbab and save party), the activists marched on the main thoroughfares and converged on Sujawal-Badin highway where they staged a sit-in. They also burnt effigies of Arbab Wazir Memon, Pir Rehmani, Mohsin Sindhi and Dr Altaf Khwaja.

Speakers including Ibrahim Junejo, Abdul Ghani Rahimoon, Ramzan Baghal, Sooraj Sujawal and Dr Ashfaq Kakepoto while condemning policies of favouritism and nepotism of party's provincial head, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, claimed that his unwise policies and imposition of “Burger group” on key posts of party in the district has damaged party’s popularity.

They announced a ten- day token hunger strike campaign at public park Sujawal from Sunday. The sit-in resulted in suspension of vehicular on Sujawal-Badin road for over an hour.
