NAWABSHAH: Asif Zardari’s secy booked

NAWABSHAH, May 1: Nawabshah police on Tuesday booked Mohammad Ismail Dahri, personal secretary to former senator Asif Ali Zardari, and another person for firing on police personal and two other people.

Mohammad Akram Qureshi lodged an FIR at A-Section Police Station stating that he along with his brother Mohammad Arshad and a friend Jibran were going on a motorcycle and when they were near the veterinary hospital, a Datsun pick-up hit them.

Two people in the vehicle, Mohammad Ismail Dahri and Nawab Bhutto, were drunk and began an argument, he said adding that Nawab Bhutto opened fire on them. Later both escaped from the scene.

In another FIR, the SHO A- Section stated that on receiving information, he along with his staff chased the vehicle and upon reaching near the vocational institute, the accused again opened fire. They were later arrested. Police recovered a Kalashnikov, three magazines and 85 bullets from their possession.
