HYDERABAD: More quit PML

HYDERABAD, May 25: Many more activists of the ruling Pakistan Muslim League have resigned from basic membership of the party in protest against indifferent attitude of its leaders and grouping with in the party and in support of local party leader S.M. Ilyas, who has recently quit the PML.

This was announced by organiser of the party’s Qasimabad taluka chapter Mehboob Junejo, former leader of its student wing Shehzad Junejo, Fawad Halepoto, Ghulam Talpur and others at a news conference at the press club on Friday. They said political secretary to Sindh chief minister Senator Abdul Ghaffar Qureshi was creating groupings by appointing his favourites as office-bearers in Hyderabad district.

They said it was due to these groupings that Mr Ilyas had to resign from the membership. They said the Sindh Chief Minister, Dr Arbab Ghulam Rahim, who was also the provincial president of PML-Q had appointed Mir Sher Mohammad Talpur as district organiser of the party, a decision accepted by workers without any objection.
