HYDERABAD: Demand for DSP’s dismissal
HYDERABAD, May 29: The Pakistan Human Rights Development Organisation has demanded the dismissal of DSP investigation Naushahro Feroze. They threatened to file a case against him in the Sindh High Court as he had allegedly filed a false case against two innocent people.
Chairman of the organisation Mehmood Ahmed Arian, Mohammad Ramzan Siyal, Jan Mohammad Soomro, Ms Kausar Parveen and others addressed a press conference at the press club on Tuesday.
They alleged that the DSP investigation, Sultan Ahmed Chandio had manipulated the registration of a false case of theft against Mushtaq Ali Dal, his brother Abdul Ghani Dal and a journalist, Maqbool Ahmed Samoon at Naushahro Feroze police station. Mushtaq Ali Dal and Maqbool Samoon were arrested from Kotri, on Monday.
Mehmood Arain said Mushtaq Ali Dal, a tailor from Kotri, borrowed money from his neighbour Rab Dino which he could not return.
He said Chandio imposed 200 per cent interest on the capital. Dal sold his shop to pay interest. Dal was being continuously harassed and on the advice of his journalist friend, Maqbool Ahmed Samoon, filed a case in the court which was still pending.
Arain said Rab Dino approached his relative, DSP Naushahro Feroze who told a policeman Musheer, Yousuf Behraj to file a false case of theft against Mushtaq Ali Dal, his brother Abdul Ghani and journalist Maqbool Ahmed. He said Naushahro Feroze police arrested Mushtaq Ali and Maqbool Ahmed from Kotri on Monday.
He said Jan Mohammad Soomro approached DPO Naushahro Feroze by telephone who asked him to contact him after two hours but later avoided the phone.
Arain said the DSP had sent message to relatives of Mushtaq Dal to settle the amount of interest with Rab Dino, otherwise Mushtaq Ali and Maqbool Samoon will not only be challaned in the theft case but also in another case of 13-D Arms Ordinance. He demanded of the Sindh government, the IGP Sindh to order inquiry into the matter through an honest police officer. He further demanded that the DSP should be sacked and Mushtaq Ali Dal and Maqbool Ahmed Samoon should be released forthwith.
He also threatened to file a direct case against the DSP in the Sindh High Court Hyderabad circuit.
