HYDERABAD: HDA workers asked to improve performance
HYDERABAD, June 18: District Nazim Kanwar Naveed Jamil has assured the HDA and WASA employees of promotions but urged them to improve their performance. He was talking to a delegation of the HDA United Workers Front at his secretariat on Monday. The delegation, led by chairman of the front, Ali Bux Buledi, apprised the district nazim of the problems of HDA and WASA employees, specially the employees belonging to minorities.
The district nazim said that the people in the past had lost confidence in the HDA and its different departments but due to the reforms introduced by the present district government, the confidence of the general public in HDA was restored.
He urged the employees to improve their performance and held out an assurance that their problems would be resolved on priority basis.
RECEPTION: Speaking at a reception hosted in honour of the outgoing DCO of Hyderabad, Mohammad Hussain Syed and the new DCO Aftab Khatri at the circuit house here Sunday night, the district nazim said that Hyderabad district was lucky to have a team of capable and conscientious officers who were rendering yeomen services in the development of Hyderabad.
He paid tribute to the outgoing DCO for his untiring efforts in the development of the district and said that he was able, conscientious and energetic officer.
He expressed the hope that the new DCO, who enjoyed a very good reputation, will emulate his predecessor.
The district naib nazim, Zafar Rajput also acknowledged the services of Mohammad Hussain Syed and hoped that he will continue to serve Hyderabad from his new post. Those who attended the reception included DPO Hyderabad, Imran Shoukat, former DPO Ali Ahmed Junejo, all the EDOs and DOs, nazims and elite of the town.
AD-HOC LECTURERS: Awami Tehrik Chief, Rasool Bux Palijo, has offered support to 700 ad-hoc lecturers, who were appointed three years back but their services could not be regularised till date.
He was talking to a delegation of the ad-hoc lecturers which called on him at his Qasimabad's residence, here on Monday.
The representatives of ad-hoc lecturers, Khan Mohammad Zangejo, Dilshad, Zulfiqar and others said that according to rules, their services be regularised within two years after three-years period of ad-hoc appointments.
They, however, said that they had completed three years in service but they were still waiting for their confirmation. Not only this, but they were also not receiving their salaries and their families were starving.
They further alleged that the services of about 200 ad-hoc lecturers belonging to Muttahida Qaumi Movement had been regularised.
Rasool Bux Palijo said that it was not a question of 700 persons but 700 families and added that if these families were to launch a peaceful struggle, the government will have to resolve their problem.
He held out an assurance that his party will extend full moral and legal support to the affected families including protest demonstrations and hunger strikes.
