DADU: Primary school teachers seek reinstatement

DADU, July 4: About 300 primary school teachers who had been sacked in 1998 staged a rally here on Wednesday demanding their reinstatement.

The protesters led by Mumtaz Ali Surhio and Yaseen Qambar said that they were appointed after proper interviews and completing all necessary requirements.

They appealed to the Sindh government to reinstate them.

Our Mirpurkhas correspondent adds: The teachers appointed in 1998, continued token hunger strike outside the press club on Wednesday, demanding their reinstatement.

Leaders Manzoor Mahar, Farman Ali Shah, Abdul Jabbar Rahimoon, Mohammad Safar, Syed Ismail Shah and Ghaffar Maher told reporters that they were sacked from jobs in 1998 on the orders of Sindh High Court. Most of the teachers were reinstated in different districts.

They urged the government to reinstate them without any delay.
