Ghazi claims receiving call from attacker

The cleric told a foreign news agency that the caller whom he did not know accepted the responsibility for the attack on Gen Musharraf’s aircraft.

However, interior ministry spokesman said the government was not aware of the telephone call Maulana Ghazi reportedly received from the assailant.

The cleric claimed that security forces had killed 30 female and 40 male students in the siege and they had been buried in the mosque’s compound.—Staff Reporter
