PESHAWAR: Kabul, Chitral rivers in high flood

PESHAWAR, July 13: As the water level continues to recede in most rivers of the NWFP, Kabul River at Sardaryab and Chitral River are still in high flood with the water discharge of 24,955 and 35,500 cusecs, respectively, on Friday.

According to the NWFP flood warning centre, water exit in Indus, Swat River at Amandara, Sirenm Kurram and Gambila rivers remained normal.

Moreover, medium floods was recorded in Kabul River at Warsak and Nowshera, Shah Alam river at Tukhtabad and in Naguman River at Charsadda. Water level in Tarbela Dam remained at 1,514.5ft whereas the designed capacity was 1,500ft.—APP
