HYDERABAD: Land grabbers attack varsity employees

HYDERABAD, Aug 2: A group of land grabbers opened fire on security staff of the Sindh University on Thursday and injured a driver, said the university authorities. A university official lodged a complaint at the Jamshoro police station against led by Mohammad Ali Narejo and six others whom they also accused of being involved in encroachment upon university's land in Deh Son Walhar near Sindh University Cooperative Housing Society phase-II.

The complainant said that a group of land grabbers, led by Narejo, attacked the security staff, injured Mohammad Saleem Bhalai, the driver of patrolling van for security staff, and tried to set ablaze a university vehicle (GL-5058).

On July 31 the directorate of estate, University of Sindh, had submitted a complaint at Jamshoro police station against the same accused but the police have failed to take action against them.
