PESHAWAR: Water level in Chitral river declines
PESHAWAR, Aug 7: The level of water has declined considerably in Chitral river, although it still remains in high flood. The NWFP flood cell recorded discharge of 16,800 cusecs in the river on Tuesday.
According to a report of the provincial flood cell, water level has begun decreasing in all the rivers of the province.
The water level remained normal in Indus river at Attock; Kabul river at Nowshera; Swat river at Munda headworks, Khuzakhela and Amandara; Kurram river at Tall; Sireb river at Dhyral and Gambila river at Gambila Bridge.
Medium floods were recorded in Shah Alam river at Tukhtabad, Kabul river at Sardaryab and Kaitu river at Spinwam.
Kabul river at Warsak, Swat river at Khiali, Panjkora river at Talash Dir, Jindi river at Charsadda and Kunhar river at Garhi Habibullah remained in low floods.—APP
