PESHAWAR: Chitral river again in high flood

PESHAWAR, Aug 10: Contrary to a downward trend in all other rivers in the NWFP, Chitral river again rose to high flood, discharging 27,000 cusecs, on Friday. The NWFP flood cell recorded medium flood in Kabul river at Adezai Bridge, discharging 14,425 cusecs. The water level remained normal in Indus river at Attock; Kabul river at Warsak and Nowshera; Swat river at Munda headworks, Amandara and Khuzakhela; Kuram river at Tall and Kurram Garhi and Siren river at Dhryal.

Swat river at Khiali, Shah Alam river at Tukhtabad, Naguman river on Charsadda Road, Panjkora river at Talash Dir, Kunhar river at Garhi Habibullah, Kaitu river at Spinwam and Jindi river in Charsadda remained in low flood.—APP
