APDM would use all options, including tendering resignations from the assemblies, to stop the army ruler to get himself re-elected.
The meeting warned the government that if the elections were delayed the nation would plunge into a grave crisis that would be dangerous for the integration and solidarity of the country.
The resolution said to ensure transparency the participation of all political parties including the leadership abroad was necessary otherwise credibility of elections would be questioned.
Expressing deep concern over the prevailing situation in the country, the meeting said that ill-conceived foreign and domestic policies of the government had weakened the federation owing to denial of rights to the federating units and looting of resources of the provinces had developed a sense of deprivation amongst them.
The APDM rejected the construction of cantonments in Balochistan and the policy of resolving political issues of Balochistan and Waziristan through extra-constitutional methods. It demanded end to military operation in both the areas and asked the government to tackle these matters peacefully.
